Healthy Habits That Are Actually Not Healthy

Eating wholesome foods, sleeping on time, hitting the gym regularly, popping up various multivitamins like magnesium, iron, vitamin B complex capsules or vitamin B complex tablets, vitamin C vitamin D, and much more, all these habits sound pretty healthy but when health is concerned there is always a catch. Any of your habits can backfire if you are unaware of what is right for you or what works for your body.

Here is the list of some of the healthy habits that are more likely to turn against you when it comes to your health.

Drinking Water From Plastic Bottles

According to a study, a plastic water bottle contains chemicals or bacteria that are considered unsafe and can cause cancer or other illnesses. So instead of buying bottled water go for purified tap water. Thus, drink water from a glass or steel water bottle at home and office.

Microwaving Your Food

Microwave arrived in 1967, but in India, for the last few years, it has become an indispensable tool of the kitchen. They are one of the easiest quickest and safest ways to cook food. But according to some research, cooking your food in the microwave makes it less healthy, meaning it destroys the nutrients in the food.

Excessive Workout

We all know that excess of everything is bad and the same is applicable for people who excessively workout regularly. Doing this can cause sleep troubles, you will have less time for muscle repairs and in the case of girls, it can mess with their menstrual cycle. So try to take rest for 1 or 2 days.

No Sun Exposure

Too much sun can cause sunburn but completely avoiding the sun can cause vitamin D deficiency and some serious diseases also. So head out for a walk, sit near your sunny window, or sit on your front steps to get some sunlight. Some of the signs that indicate you are not getting enough sunlight are; you feel moody or depressed, gain weight, experience bones, not able to sleep properly, and excessive sweating.

Brushing Teeth After Every Meal

If you are consuming anything acidic you should not brush your teeth for at least 30 minutes. Foods that contains citric acid like lemons grapefruits and oranges can weaken your tooth enamel and brushing your teeth right after eating these foods can damage your enamel. but make sure you brush your teeth at least twice a day, especially in the evening.

Believing healthy food labels

If you see labels on the food packets that claim to be healthy, natural, low carb, low fat, or zero sugar can be pure manipulation. So instead of looking on the label make sure to focus on the ingredients to know what actually that product contains.

Consuming Diet Soda

If you are health conscious and think diet coke is a healthy choice, sorry to burst your bubble it’s nothing more than the chemical cocktail. Do you know artificial sweeteners have very much intense flavour as compared to real sugar? Consuming these products over time can dull your senses to natural sweet foods like fruit. Also, diet coke causes weight gain, not weight loss.
